When on the oscilloscope screen appeared, bright and uncertain, the basic shapes of the terrain, the net and the small spot of the ball, were opened the doors to one of the most important of the culture of next decades: it was 1958 and it was Tennis For Two, the very first sports video game in history. The basic elements of all the titles that would have been carried in the future were all there, in those few kilobytes: the challenge, a screen on which the events took place and, above all, the importance given to the skill of the individual player.

Summer Games Party is a night to celebrate the video games making us compete for over thirty years now in digital stages bursting with passionate fans, steep snow-capped mountains and tumultuous waves without moving us from the couch – video games that have accompanied our lives and created memorable moments with our friends. The selection of titles will cover a long period of time, going from great classics to the latest independent experiments, in an event that will involve the audience allowing it to compete and have fun in a festive atmosphere with both consoles that have made the history of video games and the ones with innovative and futuristic control systems.
